- Nearly 1 in 8 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.
- In 2019, 268,000 new cases of breast cancer in U.S. women will be diagnosed.
- Breast cancer is the 2nd leading cause of cancer deaths for U.S. women (lung cancer is first).
- African American women under age 45 see higher rates of breast cancer than white women, and are more likely to die from the disease.
- Approximately 85% of breast cancers occur in women that have no family history of the disease.
It’s critical every woman (and man) know about the dangers of breast cancer. It’s also important to know what we can do to fight this deadly disease. One way is with vitamin D.
The Power of Vitamin D
Vitamin D has several important functions in the body:
- Helps absorb calcium and phosphorus
- Assists in bone and teeth development
